Hi, I’m Agnes, the artist behind Happy Fruit Studios—where joy takes shape in every creation!

Happy Fruit Studios was born in 2024 during an unexpected career twist—getting laid off from my tech job. Instead of letting it get me down, I saw it as the universe nudging me toward what I truly love: creating! Art has always been a part of me, and this was the perfect chance to dive headfirst into it.

As a Chinese-American artist, I wanted my culture to be woven into my brand. The name Happy Fruit comes from the Chinese term ‘開心果’ (Cantonese: hoi1 sam1 gwo2 / Mandarin: kāixīnguǒ), which translates to happy fruit—a nickname for people who bring joy to those around them. My grandmother called me this as a child because I was always up to something silly, making her laugh. Now, I hope my art does the same for others!

When I’m not doodling, you’ll find me curled up at home with my two pups, probably watching the latest fantasy C-drama while they snooze. Life’s little joys inspire me, and I hope my work brings a bit of happiness to yours too!
